Our Executive Director, John Hehn, was recognized last week at the Leading Age Florida conference in Orlando as Executive of the Year. This award honors those who embody excellence in leadership, care, and service innovation, and who are making outstanding contributions to their communities in the field of long-term care, affordable and supportive housing, retirement housing, assisted living or home and community-based services.

FPH was featured in the Palm Beach Post for our participation in the Well Tuned: Music Players for Health Grant Match Program.
We also have two residents featured in the current Presbyterian Outlook magazine – a story written by FSC graduate Clifford Parody about resident Martha Hansen, who volunteers at Talbot House, and a beautiful story about centering prayer written by resident Earle Roberts.
Florida Presbyterian Homes’ Administrator Maria Rivera, RN was recognized as Nurse Manager of the Year by the Polk Co. Organization of Nurse Executives, Nursing Excellence Recognition Committee. Check out the Ledger article. We are all so proud of Maria! She is the true heart of FPH.
Florida Presbyterian Homes has been recognized as a 2012 recipient of the Bronze – Commitment to Quality award for their dedication to improving quality care. The award is one of three distinctions possible through the National Quality Award program, presented by the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL). The program honors facilities across the nation that have demonstrated their commitment to the quality improvement journey. Florida Presbyterian Homes was one of 32 facilities to receive the Bronze level award in Florida.
