Resident Marty Dickey started volunteering at Good Shepherd Hospice in June 1996 and has logged an estimated and amazing 4,000 hours of service! She has served the organization in countless ways, from clerical support to delivering meals, but her passion is providing respite duty for caregivers and companionship visits. “It is always such a joy to see how thankful they are, and how much more relaxed when they’ve had a break,” Dickey says. “I have been blessed to meet wonderful people.”
Thanks to maintenance-free living and the supportive family environment at FPH, our residents enjoy pursuing their many passions and interests, including volunteering.
