Hollis Gardens - a 1.2 acre botanical garden on Mirror Lake with formal, neo-classical design and 10,000 flowers and shrubs.
Frank Lloyd Wright Buildings - the single largest collection of buildings by this legendary American architect are found on the campus of Florida Southern College.
Polk Museum of Art - a jewel of a museum and cultural art center featuring permanent and traveling exhibitions.
Polk Theater - a vintage performing arts center with live performances, foreign films, and more.
Lakeland Center - An entertainment, sports, and convention complex hosting more than 500 events a year, and the home of the Imperial Symphony Orchestra.
Fine Arts Series - a series of events, plays and art exhibitions at Florida Southern College.
International Sport Aviation Museum - The Sun 'n Fun Museum at Lakeland Linder Regional Airport has a fine display of aircraft, including vintage 1930s planes. Several of our residents volunteer at this interesting museum.
Joker Marchant Stadium - this ballpark is the spring home to the Detroit Tigers, and hosts several other sporting events, theater, and concerts.
Lakeland's revitalized downtown historic district - this 2-3 square mile district serviced by the free Citrus Trolley features a popular antiques district, Munn Park, Lake Mirror Park with Hollis Garden, and Barnett Family Park
Continuing Education opportunities - "Senior Connections" programs at area colleges - Florida Southern, Polk Community, University of Southern Florida, and Southeastern - all provide educational opportunities just for seniors. Or audit a college course.
