Construction Manager JoeDiazFlorida Presbyterian Homes construction manager Joe Diaz has achieved Certified Aging-In-Place Specialist (CAPS) status by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), equipping him with the skills and knowledge necessary to remodel or modify a home to meet the unique needs of the older population, disabled owners or their visitors.

“Being able to remodel or modify our 166 homes and apartments for our independent residents will allow those residents to age in place safely and comfortably, and remain in their home or apartment longer,” said executive director John Hehn.

The Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) designation program, created by the National Association of Home Builders in partnership with AARP and Home Innovation Research Labs, teaches the technical, business management, and customer service skills essential to competing in the fastest growing segment of the residential remodeling industry: home modifications for the aging-in-place.
