It was a full day, observing and talking to residents and staff about many of the activities that go on throughout the campus, which potentially could be housed in the new wellness center. At the McArthur Center the group observed an aqua fit class, bell rehearsal, the art room/sewing corner and wood shop. It was interesting to talk to residents about the kind of lighting and storage they desired. The pottery studio needs much more space to be able to use multiple wheels at one time. During lunch the entourage discussed dining options. Angela and Sheila spent some time with our wellness manager discussing safety features needed for the various wellness classes. The marketing manager got to describe her desires for a pleasant entry point to the community, along with ample parking! The afternoon concluded with a long walk through the potential site of the new facility.
